Truth or Fiction: Two Quotes

Regarding writing  fiction as compared with writing the truth, I like these two quotes:

"There was things he stretched, but mainly he told the truth." ~ Mark Twain

"It (writing) doesn't have to be the truth, just your version of it, written down." ~ Virginia Woolf
